So, we invited Kiwis to deal with us directly, cutting out the cost and hassle of brokers and banks. If you wanted to be insured, you could do it yourself over the phone. Pretty radical stuff 20 years ago!
But we didn’t stop there. In 2007 we were the first company in the world to let customers to apply and receive a life insurance policy online. By putting our computers to work for our customers, this could be done for most people in 10 minutes. A revolution in automation.
Our entrepreneurial spirit hasn’t waned, we’ve keep pushing ourselves to make it easier and easier for our customers. Today, nearly 8 out of every 10 people who apply get their life covered and their policy issued – there and then.
